New User
If you have not registered with ODI yet, please read the following.

New User can be

  • Company.
Company:
  • Should be a registered Company with Ohio Department of Insurance.
  • Need to provide the Employer Identification Number which will be verified in our System.

Registered User
Those users who have registered with Ohio Department of Insurance can sign-in directly using their User ID and Password.

If you know your User ID but forgot your password, please click on the Forgot your Password link in "Registered Users" box.

 

Password Tips -
For security reason, Ohio Department of Insurace requires that your password be a maximum of 10characters, including a lower case letter. Your password may not include your User ID. The guidelines listed below may assist you in selecting a password.

Passwords should:

  • Be protected and kept secret.
  • Be easy to remember but not easy to guess.
  • Be memorized rather than written down.
  • Be minimum of 4 characters length.
Passwords should not:
  • Be the same as your User ID or contain your User ID.
  • Contain many occurences of the same character.
  • Be words found in any dictionary.
  • Be names of spouses, children, or pets.
  • Be common dates such as your birthday, anniversary, etc.
  • Be reused. Passwords should not be identical or similar to previously used passwords.

Forgot Your Password?

To reset your password, you should know your User ID. Click on the link "Forgot your password" link in the logon page which will take you to the next page where you need to enter your User ID. Once your User ID is checked in our system, you will be asked for password answer for the hint question you selected during the registeration. If it matches, password will be reset and you will be sent a email to the email address you provided during your registeration.

In case if you do not remember your User ID, we can not reset password. You need to contacts us for password reset in this case.

Why Get a User ID
Registering at Ohio Department of Insurance is quick and easy.  Your registration will allow you the ability to tailor your experience with our agency.  Your account will provide a personalized page containing all the information most important to you including:

  • The secured applications you are entitled to access

A User ID is a way to identify you as a unique user. You will use your User ID to login to access all of your application.

Your User ID must be unique and contain maximum of 15 characters.  User ID can contain any combination of numbers and upper/lower case letters.  No spaces and no special characters.  A User ID should be easy to remember. It could be a combination of your name or some other meaningful item or person. Some examples for someone whose name is Bob Smith is b9Smith or Bob23S.

If you are a Provider, please select user ID which will be used for all future provider complaint web page transactions.

 

Contact Info
Users need to provide the following information to register an account in Ohio Department of Insurance.

  • SSN/TIN/Federal ID.
  • Last Name. (If you are a Provider, please indicate the individual that shall be contacted with regard to the resoltion of your complaint)
  • First Name.
  • Middle Name.
  • Home Phone.
  • Business Phone.
  • Business Phone Extension.
  • Email Address.
  • Challenge Question (If you ever lose your password, you will need a way to regain access to your account. The question you select and the answers you provide below will be used to verify your identity).
  • Challenge Answer.

 

Update Contact Info
Secured users always can update their contact information only after logging into our secured system successfully.

You can only change the following information.

  • Last Name.
  • First Name.
  • Middle Name.
  • Home Phone.
  • Business Phone.
  • Business Phone Extension.
  • Email Address.
  • Challenge Question.
  • Challenge Answer.

You are not allowed to change their User ID or SSN/TIN/Federal ID.

 

Application Index Page
Secured Users will see this page only after they successfully login into our Secured System. Anyone who come directly to this page without signing in will be redirected to logon page.

Secured users will see all the application links that they are entitled to access. They can access any application by clicking on the application link which they want to access.

The toolbar at the top will enable the users to jump between this page and any application page.

 

Reset your Password
You will need to change the initial password you were given by ODI and select your own password. This allows you to select a password that only you know and use.Please note that you can reset your password only after successfully logging into our secured system.

Your new password should be different from the old password and it can not be same as User ID.

 

User maintenance by administrator
Only administrative users can access this page. The procedure to set up an administrator is as follows.

  • A company has to determine who will be the administrator.(Not all companies should have an administrator)
  • The administrator has to create an account as any other user initially and activate his account.
  • Then he has to inform ODI to convert his normal account to administrator account.
  • After ODI changes his account to administrator account, he can add/modify/delete his/her group account.
  • If you have an administrator account, then you DO NOT need to create yourself a user account as you will have access to the same information as the users however Index page will contain options for you to manage your company accounts.
