| Public Participation in Rule Making | |
NOTE: The Department of Insurance is providing the following links to ensure that you have the most up-to-date information relative to insurance rules that affect Ohio consumers, insurers and agents. The Register of Ohio is published by the Ohio Legislative Service Commission under the Register of Ohio Act, Ohio Revised Code sections 103.051 et. seq. (the "Act"). As required by the Act, the Register displays the rule-making and rule-related documents of government agencies. The Register, therefore, is the official public notice of rules filed by agencies pursuant to Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. Rules listed below are rules recently amended, rescinded or proposed by the Ohio Department of Insurance and not yet available on the Register or updated in the law publishing companies that reproduce the Ohio Administrative Code. Other currently effective rules for the Ohio Department of Insurance may be found in LAWriter’s Ohio Administrative Code. This link will initially access the rules beginning with “3901,” which are the rules that apply to the Ohio Department of Insurance.
